This beautiful, Colonial-style river cruiser was hand-built to a very exacting standard. Launched in 1947, the vessel is perfectly in keeping with the Ayeyarwady River’s Colonial heritage but nonetheless luxurious and comfortable.
Built over two decks, the RV Paukan 1947 is favored by some for its more intimate, historic charm as well the large balconies and viewing decks. The cabins really are stunning; spacious, with ensuite bathrooms, and rich blue textiles that really compliment the natural teak paneled walls & brass fittings.
The communal areas are equally attractive, with plenty of wicker furniture and sun loungers dotted around for you to relax and watch the riverbank slide by. You can even enjoy a traditional massage on board. The open-air restaurant (which can be closed up on cooler evenings) serves high quality Asian and European cuisine, locally sourced wherever possible, and the staff are friendly, courteous, and very professional.
